U-Two 21:54, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There's no tab at the top of the page with a bold EDIT THIS PAGE on it. Is it just my computer?LeCrud Jam 22:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The page has been locked from editing. This means you won't be able to edit it unless an administrastor unlocks it, or you wait a few days. New members usually cannot edit articles that have been locked until a certain period of time, usually a few days, to avoid vandalsim.
U-Two 21:54, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

alright. thanks. I'll wait a few days. LeCrud Jam 22:24, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disgrace?

[edit]

What on earth? Nobody is perfect but to say I am a disgrace is a bit weird after all the work I've put into the project ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:13, 16 June 2007 (UTC) Whats with the aggro -the attitude of your user page tells it all ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:14, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My articles such as History of Exploration in Tibet, Abbas Kiarostami (an FA), Wildlife of Pakistan, Shalu Monastery, The Temptress Joymati, Uttara (film), Torrent (1926 film) are only a tiny exmaple of what I have achieved on wikipedia. I founded Wikipedia:WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers - an important porject that I took some time to set up, WikiProject Tibet, and co-founded WikiProject James Bond - already articles such as Goldeneye and Casino Royale 2006 film we have worked on are FA proposals. I as everyone make minor errors from time to time but can you honestly say this is all a disgrace? You're bang out of order with those comments - what is it going to achive by telling me I'm a disgrace. Nothing. If there is a problem tell me and I can correct it. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 10:13, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And?...

Your recent RfA

[edit]

I'm sorry, but I've closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you've only got 146 edits on Wikipedia; while edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards that they judge RfA candidates by, there was no chance that the RfA was going to pass.

I'm sorry about this, and hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I'm confident that you could possibly run a successful RfA in the future. You may want to consider submitting yourself to Wikipedia:Editor review for feedback on where to get some good experience, and when you're ready for RfA again, there's a great Wikipedia:Admin coaching program for you to use, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.

In your RfA, you say that you are highly active. However, you only had four edits in the entire month of May this year; this is far below the norm expected from a serious RfA candidate (even four edits a day isn't considered "quite active").  EVula // talk // // 20:59, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't really expecting anything. LOL. Thanks anyway.

Alexis Skye

[edit]

Hi. I've removed the speedy tag you put on Alexis Skye because I don't really see the copyright violation that you claim exists. This is not to say that I found the subject so interesting but this should really go through articles for deletion and not speedy deletion. Cheers, Pascal.Tesson 02:56, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You just don't give things a chance do you? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 10:23, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SamStacy011.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SamStacy011.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:03, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to Wikipedia meetup in London

[edit]
Wikimedia UK logo
Wikimedia UK logo

Date: 13:00 onwards, Sunday 10 August 2008

Venue: Penderel's Oak pub, Holborn WC1 map

More information: Wikipedia:Meetup/London 12

Hello,

I noticed that you have listed yourself as a Wikipedian in London, so I thought you might like to come to one of our monthly social meetups. The next one is going to be on Sunday 10 August, which might well be rather short notice, but if you can't come this time, we try to have one every second Sunday of the month.

If you haven't been before, these meetups are mainly casual social events for Wikipedia enthusiasts in which we chat about Wikipedia and any other topics we fancy. It's a great way to meet some very keen Wikipedians, but we'd also love for you to come along if you're interested in finding out more about Wikipedia, other Wikimedia projects, or other collaborative wiki projects too.

The location is a pub that is quite quiet and family friendly on a Sunday lunchtime, so hopefully younger Wikipedians will also feel welcome and safe. Alcohol consumption is certainly not required!

Although the meetups are popular, many UK-based editors still don't know about them. It would be great to welcome some fresh faces, so I hope you can come along.

Yours,

James F. (talk) 09:27, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please forgive the slightly impersonal mass-invite!

Vandalism

[edit]

Look mate, if you're going to make edits like this, insulting wikipedia by calling it crappy, don't bother creating a account on it just to vandalise it- your best bet is to vandalise it with lot of IP addresses. That usually makes 'em serch for the puppetmaster; creating an account shuts that option down unless you act by different behaviours each time.--Chris Wattson (talk) 19:11, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Thanks for the following image! I have kept it in my album. Thank You very much. I came to know of it from your user page. Srinivas G Phani (talk) 14:55, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

London Wikimedia Fundraiser

[edit]

Good evening! This is a friendly message from Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, inviting you to the London Wikimedia Fundraising party on 19th December 2010, in approximately one week. This party is being held at an artistic London venue with room for approximately 300 people, and is being funded by Ed Saperia, a non-Wikipedian who has a reputation for holding exclusive events all over London. This year, he wants to help Wikipedia, and is subsidising a charity event for us. We're keen to get as many Wikimedians coming as possible, and we already have approximately 200 guests, including members of the press, and some mystery guests! More details can be found at http://ten.wikipedia.org/wiki/London - expect an Eigenharp, a mulled wine hot tub, a free hog roast, a haybale amphitheatre and more. If you're interested in coming - and we'd love to have you - please go to the ten.wikipedia page and follow the link to the Facebook event. Signing up on Facebook will add you to the party guestlist. Entry fee is a heavily subsidised £5 and entry is restricted to over 18s. It promises to be a 10th birthday party to remember! If you have any questions, please email me at chasemewiki at gmail.com.

Hope we'll see you there, (and apologies for the talk page spam) - Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 00:08, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
