Notability of Jasman toys

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jasman toys requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ecoleetage (talk) 01:39, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jasman Toys

[edit]

Restored Jasman Toys to your userspace as per request. Note that the article as it stands now, does not assert notability under WP:CORP. You have to take care of making sure it does not read as an advertisement. Also you should read YFA and the Fve Pillars. You should not leave "to be completed" notices on an article but use an appropriate template. As per MOS you should not sign your articles in mainspace (as you did), and always sign in Talk (which you correctly did). Once you think the article is good enough to pass muster, you can create it in mainspace and if you want your sandbox page deleted, you can put a {{db-userreq}} notice in it and it will be removed by an admin. Note that in any wiki-type website (as Wikipedia is) any and all articles are subject to revision, refactoring and heavy editing and if editors think it does not follow the rules, to outright removal as was the case before. Good luck. -- Alexf42 10:44, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

October 2016

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm BilCat. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Cubit (currency), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 00:42, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Cubit (currency) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
