ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Waluigithewalrus. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ed Carpenter Racing, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ed Carpenter. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ways to improve 1997 12 Hours of Sebring

[edit]

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Waluigithewalrus, thanks for creating 1997 12 Hours of Sebring!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add your sources. Are the 'external links' actually sources? If so, please make this clear.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jack Harvey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Can you please answer my message from 2017? And same for 1998 24 Hours of Daytona. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 14:18, 3 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, can you please respond? Boleyn (talk) 17:17, 25 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, sorry for taking forever to respond. A combination of busyness and, honestly, just me being a bit lazy. I'd argue that racing-reference is certainly a source, given it's support from Nascar, LLC. on keeping its stats up to date. I could see there being some doubt about the Racingsportscars source, but I'd argue that they're good for this given how meticulous the data is on the cars there.
Now, I will say, I was starting to chill with making those pages as is. I've found that once I moved out of the 2000s, it was much more difficult to find official results. It's to the point where some of these races I'm only finding results by looking at a third-party page that looks like it hasn't been updated since the early 2000s. But that's where I was with that. --Waluigithewalrus (talk) 19:13, 25 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

1998 24 Hours of Daytona moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, 1998 24 Hours of Daytona, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Waluigithewalrus. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "1998 24 Hours of Daytona".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Lapablo (talk) 09:10, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Marek Goczał, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three.
