Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 7th Heaven (band), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Cassette and Next. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pop Media requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. [edit]

What disruptive editing? All I have been doing is adding the discography to a famous Chicago band on wikipedia, and I am getting attacked by Mods. What exactly have I done wrong? I have not posted false material. I am posting tracklistings from their albums. All my pages are being tagged for deletion with no warning. Please explain and I will do what I can to fix it. Thank you.Weezer17 (talk) 19:42, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like this has been blown out of proportion by User:Action Hero, a confused or malicious editor who's been flagging your articles completely inappropriately. (Action Hero has since been blocked from Wikipedia.) I can't see that you've done anything particularly wrong. The few of your articles that were flagged for deletion by User:CoffeeWithMarkets and myself were because you'd just written pages which said "Pop Medley has the following tracks" with a list of tracks (and no mention of an artist or even that it was an album), which per WP:A1 lacked "sufficient context to identify the subject of the article". If you recreate them with a clearer explanation, there shouldn't be a problem.
Sorry you had a bad introduction to Wikipedia, I hope it hasn't put you off. --McGeddon (talk) 21:14, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you!

[edit]

Thank you McGeddon, I really appreciate your response. I will recreate the pages and make them more clear. Since the band has so many albums, I probably had too many open linnks before I could update them. This is my first time really updating Wikipedia, and I was trying to update pages by looking at examples of others. Even a Mod updated one of my pages, so I used his example moving forward. Thanks Again!Weezer17 (talk) 21:34, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Do take a look at WP:NALBUMS before spending time writing up too many albums, though - Wikipedia does have a cut-off point for lesser known albums by any artist. You should generally only be writing about albums which have either charted, gone gold or had a significant press article or two written about them. --McGeddon (talk) 21:39, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:7th Heaven - The Time Has Come.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
