Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Ponkunnam Damodaran has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Wikipedia:Non-free content policy and guideline

[edit]

Please do not place or replace any non-free images to any pages except for actual articles, as you did at Template:User Chennai Super Kings 1. Such use is a clear violation of point number 9 of our policy concerning the use of non-free images. Continuing to do so can be viewed as disruptive behaviour and you may be blocked from editing. VernoWhitney (talk) 23:27, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not put copyrighted logos in user boxes as you have repeated done and been warned about above. The use of copyrighted logos is actually illegal under US Copyright law, and because Wikipedia's servers are located in Florida, US law applies. Since you have now been warned about this twice, future attempts to insert copyrighted logos into user boxes will be treated as vandalism. - Ahunt (talk) 23:37, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see by your user page that you are one of our younger Wikipedians. If you are having trouble understanding the policy on copyrighted logos, please drop me a note! - Ahunt (talk) 23:42, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jubail

I've reverted your edits to Jubail. First, you can't ask a question in an article. Second, we are not a tourist guide, so we don't create big lists of hotels or other tourist spots. Qwyrxian (talk) 14:46, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ashokan (actor)

[edit]

Hello,

Are pages Ashokan (actor) and Harisree Ashokan referring to the same person? Gjs238 (talk) 13:30, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Both are having Ashokan in their names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitetararaj (talkcontribs) 14:47, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously, but are they the same person, i.e., are there two Wikipedia articles about the same person? If yes, perhaps they should be merged. (PS: Please reply here to maintain message continuity.) Gjs238 (talk) 11:28, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

Please note that edit warring is not allowed. If you wish to discuss that content, please go to Talk:Jubail and we can see if there is consensus based on policy to include it. Simply trying to force your way is called edit warring, and will eventually result in your account being blocked. I'm sorry if you don't like Wikipedia's rules, but we are an encyclopedia, we do have rules, and you must follow them to edit here. You can't just add anything you want because you think it's interesting or helpful. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:39, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Your recent editing history at Jubail shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --regentspark (comment) 17:12, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Whiterataj, will you please come discuss the matter? I will try to explain more about why that content simply is not allowed on Wikipedia, but you can't just keep re-adding it. You clearly have a lot to offer Wikipedia, but if you won't follow our policies, you're going to be blocked. That would be a shame. I want to help you be a better user. Part of that means knowing that some types of information are allowed and some are not. Please look at point 2 in WP:NOTTRAVEL. WP:NOT is one of our core policies, and is critical to us maintaining Wikipedia as an encyclopedia. Please, remove your own additions of hotels to that article. But if you try to re-add, one more time, I will ask for you to be blocked. Qwyrxian (talk) 02:07, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your personal information

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. I am an administrator here, and someone drew my attention to your user page. Please read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors, particularly the section headed "Your safety and security". It is very unwise for someone as young as you to reveal publicly on the Internet details like your name and school and family members, so I have removed them from your user page, and I advise you strongly not to replace them.

Beside your claim to be the youngest Wikipedian I have put a "citation needed" tag. That is a sort of joke, referring to Wikipedia's WP:Verifiability policy: "any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source." Your claim to be the youngest Wikipedian could never be verified unless someone checked the ages of all the millions of other registered users, and in fact it is not true because I know of at least one other who is, or claims to be, younger than you. I suggest you remove the claim, or alter it to read "one of the youngest... " which is probably true - then you could remove the tag.

I am sorry to have to alter your user page, but Wikipedia is not a social-networking site, your user page is intended for things to do with your Wikipedia work (see WP:UPNOT, and we take users' safety and security very seriously. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 12:03, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to message on my talk page: ask your parents to read these messages, and to read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. If they are then happy for you to replace the user-box, I will not remove it again. But I still advise against it, and it may still be that someone else will remove it, because (a) we do not like to see personal details of young people published, and (b) user pages are not for "substantial content... that is unrelated to Wikipedia". Hello. I was just looking at your new article Kaduthruthy Mahadeva Temple. Did you just copy paste the entire thing from this website?

And Paippad Puthenkavu Bhagavathi Temple from http://www.paippadputhenkavu.org/ Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:27, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your uploaded images

[edit]

And please explain where you got this image File:Kottayam_Nazeer.jpeg Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:35, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And this image: File:Rajendran.jpg Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:35, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And this image: File:Ramesh Pisharody.jpeg, which you also uploaded as your own work, which as a METROMATINEE.COM watermark. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:37, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that almost all images you uploaded are not owned by you, and almost all the content on all the articles you created was simply copy pasted from other sites. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:39, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have just requested that all of your Wikicommons images be deleted. Many were deleted before, and you knew it, but uploaded more images that you obviously don't own. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:52, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

I just removed most of the content from most of the articles you created. Some at Panamattom may have been fine, but I removed it anyway. Restore what you think is not copy paste.

Please do not copy paste content again, and do not upload images that you do not own again. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 17:02, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Further comments

[edit]

Other than that, you seem to be a good editor and do valuable work. I see a lot of "..." Please just use a comma or nothing at all. A string of full stops isn't really conventional. And, please use edit summaries.

Please don't be put off by the copyvio thing. Just don't do it anymore, and carry on with other good edits. Okay? :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:51, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop

[edit]

I was justified in deleting your copyright violations. Please don't go though the articles I started and delete stuff. I don't copy paste. Please stop. Don't be upset. I'm sorry. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:32, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Articles and referencing

[edit]

When you are creating articles, could you look to provide at least one reliable source as a reference, as per Wikipedia policy? It really isn't enough just to create an unreferenced article that merely asserts that something is "very famous". AllyD (talk) 12:05, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Grand Mother (film), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://allmoviedatabase.com/KMDB.asp?movieName=Grand%20Mother.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. The article Paippad Puthenkavu Bhagavathi Temple has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non notable temple. It is also unreferenced.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lazza Ice Cream Factory, Panamattom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Harry the Dog WOOF 17:43, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Whitetararaj, you'll likely not be pleased about this but I have suppressed a number of edits to your userspace which reveal too much personally identifiable information about yourself. I've done this per policy and for your own protection and safety on-line as you are a self-declared minor. I'm really sorry about that and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add it. For some useful information on privacy and safety, take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Wandoor Siva Temple requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Removing Speedy at Wandoor Siva Temple

[edit]

Hi Whitetararaj, you recently removed a deletion tag from Wandoor Siva Temple. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove speedy deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the tag. Although the deletion proposal may be incorrect, removing the tag is not the correct way for you to contest the deletion, even if you are more experienced than the nominator. Instead, please use the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. Remember to be patient, there is no harm in waiting for another experienced user to review the deletion and judge what the right course of action is. As you are involved, and therefore potentially biased, you should refrain from doing this yourself. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 11:57, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

final warning

[edit]

This is your last warning. The next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at multiple articles , you will be blocked from editing without further notice.

Adding material in the way you are doing harms Wikipedia. , because it diverts the time and energy of others into dealing with the necessary sourcing. You could do it better: you must have some information in front of you when you add them, though apparently it is often only their website or a listing in a film database.

For films, this is not enough to establish notability, and unless someone goes to the trouble of finding proper information such as reviews, the articles will be removed. see WP:NOTFILM Buildings such as temples are not necessarily notable either--it depends on their significance, and the significance must be proven by sources--see WP:NGEO For secondary schools , we normally keep those for which we have reliable information of existence, but this is only a custom, not a formal guideline, and what you are doing might lead to another result for these.

On one of the article talk pages, you say your goal is to achieve 100 new articles. this is not a goal helpful to the encyclopedia; what would be helpful is to write 10, or even 1 acceptable article with reliable references for notability , references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or the subjects' web sites. Hello, I was wondering what your intent was with this edit to Talk:Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The {{edit semi-protected}} tag is only to be used on the talk pages of articles that are semi-protected, by users who are blocked from editing semi-protected articles (i.e., unregistered users and non-autoconfirmed registered users), to request that an edit be made to the article. As far as I can tell, the article has never been semi-protected, and even if it was you should be able to edit it yourself.

Looking through the article history I see edits that may be interpreted as vandalism; however, I do not know enough about the subject matter to know whether or not it is. If your intent was to request semi-protection for this article, you need to make such a request at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, —KuyaBriBriTalk 15:48, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My first comment above also applies to your recent edits to Talk:Twenty:20, and it looks like you went through the proper channels to get it semi-protected. —KuyaBriBriTalk 15:52, 17 January 2013 (UTC) edited 15:54, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for contributing the new article Nariyah. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding sources to the article you created and by making it clear how the sources support the material. See here for how to do inline referencing. Many thanks! Speedy deletion nomination of Vaishak Uthaman

[edit]

Hello Whitetararaj,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Vaishak Uthaman for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, YuMaNuMa Contrib 13:43, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Vaishak Uthaman

[edit]

Hi Whitetararaj, you recently removed a deletion tag from Vaishak Uthaman. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 14:26, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Whitetararaj. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Wii Vacation Sports, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Op47 (talk) 20:28, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Rose Rock IFC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Your userpage (please read carefully)

[edit]

I have just removed and deleted a lot of content from your userpage because it revealed too much personal information about you. On Wikpedia, we have a policy about the privacy of self-declared minors and we care about your safety on-line. Another oversighter has previously had to remove this sort of information from your userpage but you have re-added most of it; therefore, I must warn you that if you add any more sensitive information about your real-life to your userpage or another Wikipedia page, you will be asked to leave Wikipedia and blocked from editing for your own safety.

When you add information to Wikipedia in future, you must ask yourself "would I want every person, good and bad, in the world to know this information?". If you would not, do not add the information. I cannot stress how important it is that you not do this again. Warmest regards, AGK [•] 18:55, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Sachin Tendulkar India.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Please use edit summaries

[edit]

Hi, it would be very helpful if you would please start using edit summaries. Here you've reordered cast without a valid explanation, leaving me to wonder if you are editing consistently with WP:FILMCAST or if you're just arbitrarily ordering the cast. Edit summaries are crucial as first steps of communication between editors. If you look though my edit history you'll see that it is extraordinarily rare that I edit without leaving a note. Thanks. Ennu Ninte Moideen - character appearances

[edit]

Hi there, regarding this edit, while I know you meant well, it's not clear to me why we're devoting time to describing their appearances without providing sourced context. The content you've added, while maybe true, includes interpretive analysis, like describing someone's hazel eyes as a "peculiarity", or describing "typical" Indian hairstyles and "traditional" mustaches. There are also some grammar issues that made it difficult to understand what you were trying to communicate, for instance: "She has a great sense of boldness, which allowed her collegemates to have good food" It's unclear how boldness yields good food. "who was always against his son, due to rival political parties' members" it's unclear if the father and son were from rival political parties. I think that real-world context is good (actually, it's required per WP:FILMCAST, but the analyses need to come from reliable published sources, not our own memories. I've reverted the edit, but please know it's nothing personal. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:41, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Two Countries does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Diff: [4] Reordering cast without providing an explanation tends to look like you're reordering according to some arbitrary, personal preference. Please be sure to explain your edits so other editors understand your rationale. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:46, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

[edit]

Your edit here is disruptive. As previously noted, you are reordering cast without providing a valid explanation. Since we are not here to entertain your personal preferences, you need to provide an explanation that conforms with MOS:FILM. If you submit the changes again without adequate explanation, it will be considered a continuation of disruption. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:27, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Passive-aggressive note

[edit]

Care to explain your passive-aggressive note? [5] If you continue to make unexplained and arbitrary changes like this, your editing privileges will be interrupted. It's really very simple: explain your edits and be sure they conform to established guidelines. Since you don't actually seem to want to engage in discussion, you leave me with little option but to scold you. In case you're having trouble putting my requests in perspective, let me assist: the community has had problems with disruptive users who reorder cast because they happen to personally like Actor A over Actor B, for instance this guy, who kept making changes to cast lists and prose to place Mohanlal before Mammootty every chance he could. Since there are existing guidelines for how cast should be ordered Template:Infobox film and MOS:FILM, we should be following that, not making changes based on personal preference. I strongly advise you start communicating. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:26, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, there are at least six links to WP:RS on your talk page, and ten links to WP:V#sources, yet you still make changes like these attributed to faceless blogs with no established reputation for fact-checking, and no clear editorial policy. This leads me to two conclusions: 1) For some reason you have never familiarized yourself with our reliable sources guidelines in 4 years and 4,000+ edits. 2) You are familiar with our reliable sources guidelines, but continue to add poor references for some reason known only to you. Either way, your edits are not consistent with our long-standing guidelines. Please quickly familiarize yourself with WP:RS and WP:UGC. The latter makes it clear that user-generated content like discussion forums, website comment sections, IMDb, wikis, and blogs are not sufficient as references, since anyone can generate content in these environments and claim to be an expert on a subject. Please consider this your final warning about reliable sourcing. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:01, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Though I'm impressed that you finally chose to use an edit summary here, it still appears that you are using blogs instead of mainstream sources like Times of India, the Hindustani Times, The Hindu, and so forth. Again, please familiarize yourself with WP:RS and WP:UGC. If you want to argue that either or both references are sufficient, feel free to open a discussion at Talk:List of highest-grossing Indian films, but we don't automatically assume that sources are reliable just because they exist. And thankfully, Wikipedia has no deadline, so we're not in any hurry. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:22, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Aadu Jeevitham

The article Aadu Jeevitham has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As per WP:TOOSOON and WP:NFF

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Charles Turing (talk) 19:44, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone who edits film articles, and especially anyone who creates film articles should be aware that the basic threshold for the existence of a future film is WP:NFF. You must demonstrate that principal photography has started, since films are planned and shelved all the time, like Faisal Saif's For Adults Only. Any film article for an upcoming film that does not demonstrate that the basic notability standard has been met, drains community resources. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:26, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Midhunappilli Shiva Temple has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Can't find any indication this is any more notable than any other Hindu temple, on a search. Yes this is a search of only English sources, but there's no native-language name given to look for! Creator made a swath of such articles before being blocked in 2016, all with the same issues.

The article International Indian School, Al-Jubail has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia:Notability issues, clearly being edited by someone with ties to the school because the names of key staff keep getting added back in. Article was temp protected, when the temp protection wore off it was reverted to the old version. Just delete this page and mention the school on Al-Jubail if it warrants it.
