Information icon Hello, I'm BangJan1999. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Deaths in 2024, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. BangJan1999 21:32, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I figured that once I started and I tried to erase it. Sorry, I'm kinda new here and I need to learn how to follow the rules Wikivisitor2022 (talk) 21:35, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Toriyama

[edit]

That source literally says he died on March 1. Why are you reverting my accurate edits so incessantly? Rusted AutoParts 04:02, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Because X has an official post on the Dragon Ball Z X Page:

Are you not reading the text of the announcement? "Dear Friends and Partners, We are deeply saddened to inform you that manga creator Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st due to acute subdural hematoma. He was in age of 68." Rusted AutoParts 04:06, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm reading that but why would they post it today if it happened 6 days ago Wikivisitor2022 (talk) 04:07, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's up to the discretion of his estate. By the looks of it they wanted to have time to grieve and host funeral services before announcing to the public he had passed away. This isn't uncommon. Kentaro Miura's death was announced two weeks after it happened, Christopher Lee's was announced about five days after. Rusted AutoParts 04:09, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
so why not put the notation (death announced on this date) like the other entries Wikivisitor2022 (talk) 04:11, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's for when the death date is not known. Had they announced his death without specifying when he died, that's when it would be applicable. But since they stipulated he died on the 1st, it's not applicable. Rusted AutoParts 04:13, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry Wikivisitor2022 (talk) 04:48, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
