Empty category suppression category

Hi, I am not sure what belongs in Category:Category suppression support pages by quality, but it is currently empty, as are its subcategories. Should it be deleted per {{db-catempty}}? John Vandenberg (chat) 11:34, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for asking. However, I was not responsible for that category structure, so I have no idea how it was used or if it still is being used. Sorry. Willscrlt ( Talk | com | b:en | meta ) 08:05, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Ah, my mistake. Thanks for the reply and sorry it has taken me a quick to come back here. I have asked over at User talk:PC78#Empty category suppression category. John Vandenberg (chat) 05:24, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

C:WPCATSUP listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect C:WPCATSUP. Since you had some involvement with the C:WPCATSUP redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). John Vandenberg (chat) 00:26, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject Category Suppression/Templates/Cat priority, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Category Suppression/Templates/Cat priority and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:WikiProject Category Suppression/Templates/Cat priority during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. John Vandenberg (chat) 07:48, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:WikiProject Category Suppression/Templates/Classicon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. John Vandenberg (chat) 11:52, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

@John Vandenberg: I don't object to the deletion, but the links to the template should be cleaned up before a deletion. I assume that you will take care of that since you prod'ed it? Otherwise probably a regular deletion instead of a speedy one should be undertaken. Either way, thanks for all your efforts in cleaning this stuff up. Also, thanks for keeping me informed. I don't even remember half of this stuff. I think I just did a lot of copying and pasting based off of some other wikiproject. Things weren't nearly so well organized back then, and then I got busy with off-wiki life, and never really looked back at this project. Sorry to have left a bit of a (well-intentioned) mess behind. OK, I've deleted all of the project categorisation templates as author request (G7). The templates are still mentioned at Wikipedia:WikiProject Category Suppression/Templates; I'll leave that for you to edit to taste, or tag as {{db-g7}}. It may be a bit of a mess now, but there is still definitely a need for constant monitoring for new templates which need category suppression, and there may be old templates which still need it. I know there are lots of userboxes without category suppression, as I have added it to many (especially geographical, as people like to add country and state, and city userboxed, but dont want to be in all three cats). At Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2014 January 13#Category:WikiProject Category Suppression pages, user:Funandtrvl suggested the WikiProject might become a taskforce of another project. I think that idea has merit. Probably Wikipedia:WikiProject Templates..? I would join that task force if you are still interested? John Vandenberg (chat) 12:42, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

I have also nominated Category:WikiProject Category Suppression templates for speedy deletion as it is now empty. You have four days to contest that. I would appreciate it if you could answer the questions at the RfD. John Vandenberg (chat) 10:13, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
