Comment re "International maritime signal flags"

[edit]

Hi. I am thinking that your recent edit on "International maritime signal flags" should be undone, but don't want to do it without discussing it with you. There are two considerations. First, what you added (about the Zulu flag) is an interesting comment, but that particular list is of the standardized meanings of the flags, where this comment is extraneous; it would be better to have it in the text. But there is a second consideration: I am arguing that that particular article is not well organized, and ought to be deleted (replaced by the better focused International Code of Signals, Maritime flag signalling, and Naval flag signalling articles), and therefore shouldn't have any more work done. Your comments invited. Also: would be interested in helping with some of this? - J. Johnson (JJ) (talk) 22:10, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
