On expert review, coordinators are experienced editors who are entrusted to approve/disapprove reviewer privileges and perform general maintenance and improvements to expert review. Core decisions are made by the English Wikipedia community; coordinators are simply responsible for implementing and acting with these decisions in the best way possible.
