Wikipedia:Good Article Collaboration of the week

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Every week, a Good Article Collaboration of the Week will be selected on this page from the good articles list. Using cooperative editing, the aim of the collaboration is to bring the article up to the highest of standards by the end of the week. This collaboration is a part of the WikiProject Good articles.

Polishing Good Articles

[edit]

The intent of this collaboration is to polish the many good articles within Wikipedia, to bring them up to the highest standards expected of Wikipedia.

The article selected will likely have already been through one or both of Peer Review and Featured article candidacy, so the first steps are to see if any of the issues raised still need to be addressed.

Voting

[edit]

Please feel free to vote in favor of as many candidates as you like; oppose votes have no effect as approval voting is used. To summarize, the article with the most support votes each week is selected. Any registered user may vote for an article, as long as the account's first edit occurred before the nomination. During the case of a tie, the article that was nominated first will be selected. For a list of the vote archives of past winners see successful nominations. Articles without support votes for long periods of time will be pruned if there is a large number of articles on the list below. Also see previous nominations that may warrant re-nomination, and the current collaboration. Articles will not be selected if they only have one vote.

How to Nominate

[edit]

Anyone may nominate an article as long as it is on the good articles list or is a good B-class article which can be brought to GA status. To nominate an article, copy the nomination template at the bottom of this page, fill it out accordingly and then put it at the end of the list. If it isn't on the list please nominate your article here first. Also feel free to tell others about the nomination by putting {{GACnom}} on the article's talk page.

  • Has potential to be a great article, it is interesting in Australian geographic, historical, legal and political terms. When it was the Australian collaboration it improved a huge amount, and soon after achieved GA Status. I've since done quite a bit of work on it but I think it's getting a little stale again and needs a few eyes on it to bring it up to a new level of quality. • King Arthur is famous in all British and British-influenced countries. Unfortunately, the article is in need of quite a bit of help. A collaboration would work wonders. Wrad 21:18, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • This excellent article has content that of GA and has potential of FA. A good collaboration would do make this the a top-notch reference for a number one tennis player. It is an interesting article in terms of tennis history as well. RC 03:31, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • The article has already improved significantly recently thanks to collaboration, and is far better structured and written than previously. The good work could be continued with the help of further teamwork, and hopefully could bring the article to Good Article status or beyond.OSmeone 16:37, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
