The Athens Terminal Company owns a freight warehouse together with 1.607 miles of yard tracks and sidings at Athens, Ga. It is jointly controlled by the Seaboard and the Gainesville Midland Railway. The property is operated by the Seaboard.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The Athens Terminal Company was incorporated October 4, 1906, for a period of 101 years, under the general railroad laws of the State of Georgia, for the purpose of constructing and operating a terminal railroad in and near Athens, Ga. The date of organization was January 14, 1907.
