The railroad of the Hanford and Summit Lake Railway Company, hereinafter called the Hanford and Summit Lake, consists of a single-track branch line located within the State of California and extends from Ingle to Hardwick, a distance of 42.287 miles.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The Hanford and Summit Lake was incorporated June 25, 1910, under the general laws of California to construct a line of railroad from Hanford to a point near Summit Lake, Calif. The date of its organization was the same as that of its incorporation.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the company, extending from Hardwick to Ingle, Calif., a distance of 42.287 miles, was acquired by construction during the period 1910 to 1912, and was opened in sections between September 22, 1911, and April 14, 1912.
