NYU students put finishing touches on articles

[edit]

Students in Professor Evan Hill-Ries's class improved stubs on articles related to U.S. copyright law. Check out the work the students have completed by clicking links to the articles on the course page.

Campus and Online Ambassadors are coordinating with current professors and Wikimedia Foundation staff to build a cohesive group of submissions. Interested in submitting a proposal, or want to see what others are submitting? Check out the coordinated effort.

Ambassador Steering Committee elections now underway

[edit]

The Wikipedia Ambassador Steering Committee is the volunteer body of Ambassadors who are guiding the expansion of the Wikipedia Ambassador program beyond the confines of the Public Policy Initiative. Six candidates have put themselves forward for election to the Steering Committee, and we encourage anyone active in the Public Policy Initiative to vote. Learn more about the candidates.

Professor Aaron Frank discusses his Wikipedia assignment in his Spring 2011 Public Policy Initiative course with Wikipedia Ambassadors.

Professor Aaron Frank's class at University of San Francisco (USF) is going into full gear on their Wikipedia assignment! With the help of Campus Ambassador Jodi Wilson, and a team of Online Ambassadors including USF alumnus Jim Heaphy (who did a presentation in this class last Saturday along with Jodi and Campus Team Coordinator Annie Lin), students are beginning to move their research and writing on various environmental-law topics from sandboxes into live Wikipedia articles. Check out the students' work on their course page.
