No (im)perfective distinctions

[edit]

This list seems of rather limited use as it is, since in Polish - as in all Slavic languages I'm aware of - almost every verb comes in a pair of one imperfective and one perfective infinitive. Here, which one is listed seems random. Certainly sometimes one is more frequent than the other, but that doesn't mean the other isn't important. Also, "to consider" is translated as in "something to consider", not as the infinitive in "it is important to consider that". (It is listed as "do rozważenia" and not "rozważać/rozważyć".) This also happens with "to begin" and some others. Should this page perhaps be changed to correct those mistakes and add a clear imperfective/perfective distinction? (And then also indeterminate /determinate for verbs of motion.) Donostia Gipuzkoa (talk) 08:24, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
