Copy edit of Alexandra Stan

[edit]

Hello! I've been working on Cartoon network freak's GOCE request for a copy edit of Alexandra Stan.

Despite my edits for grammar and flow, article still feels cumbersome to read. The Life and career section is mainly a prose list of all of the artists singles, the dates they were released and their success on various song charts around the world. I noticed that there's also a Alexandra Stan discography article that covers all of this info with tables and is much easier to digest.

I think the Alexandra Stan article should be trimmed down to to focus on Stan's background and life, career, musical style/influences, and awards. The career section should be more general and talk about her biggest hits, albums and collaborations without listing every date and chart they hit, especially since this information is listed in the discography.

I think these changes will make the article more interesting and easier to read, elevating the overall quality of the article.

What do you think? –gwendy (talk) 21:02, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

PS: I'm new to the GOCE & hope that Corinne or Tdslk can chime in with their thoughts as well. (Thanks for taking a look!)gwendy (talk) 01:38, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi gwendy! Since you asked me, I would personally agree with you that the "this single was released, and did okay on the charts, then this single was released and did better on the charts, except in this country, and then it won an award, etc., etc."-style is not the most exciting read, but it's not out of the ordinary for musician/band articles, and not something we can really fix within the scope of a GOCE review. Thanks for working on this article! Tdslk (talk) 03:21, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
PS, I don't think the FDR wikilink leads to the correct article... :) Tdslk (talk) 03:23, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the feedback, Tdslk! I'll finish my copy edit of the article and still recommend that Cartoon network freak or someone else from Alexandra Stan WikiProject clean up the overall article. –gwendy (talk) 16:55, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Gwendy: I've changed the article very much now. Could you take another look over all ? Best, Cartoon network freak (talk) 21:58, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for considering my feedback, Cartoon network freak. I'll take another look at the full article. –gwendy (talk) 18:56, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
