Eurowings Focus City

[edit]

Given that Eurowings does not have any aircraft stationed in Nuremberg year round and their summer seasonal aircraft based in Nuremberg is actually a wet lease from TuiFly (who announced their stationing of a second aircraft flying under X3 flight numbers recently) can we remove "Focus City of Eurowings" from the Infobox? It just isn't true any more, if it ever was... Hobbitschuster (talk) 20:08, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Map

[edit]

I think it would be nice to have a map displaying the sites of the former airports serving the area. I at least tried to add the coordinates. Can someone who knows more about maps please add one? 213.95.33.60 (talk) 10:15, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

New route

[edit]

Per this there'll be a new route to/from Abu Dhabi Airport, but apparently as a seasonal charter operation where tickets for the flight alone (i.e. not as part of a package holiday) are not available. How does one add that to the list of destinations properly? 213.95.33.60 (talk) 22:22, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Use the Seasonal charter: tag. Best regards,

What's an "electric ring"

[edit]

The section https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_Airport#Runway is full of weird terms which may or may not be the product of (machine?) translation from German. For example, what is an "electric ring"? 213.95.33.60 (talk) 16:29, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have commented out the verbiage in question. 213.95.33.60 (talk) 14:42, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What are the conditions for flights to be listed?

[edit]

As per this the flights by "Franconia Air Service" should not be mentioned. However, they are technically "scheduled" (if you book a flight, they'll fly it and you can only book them to depart at certain times). I know this is an edge case, so is there precedent either way? Some Airports also list helicopter flights, so it can't be the relatively small size of the planes that is determinative in the end.... 213.95.33.60 (talk) 06:34, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reaching to the talk page. Indeed the size of the planes is not entirely relevant (as there are flights e.g. in the US or the british isles that operate with similiar planes) but it is the circumstance that these flights are not scheduled that makes them not notable. On the one hand there are fixed times for these flights, but if no one bookes these it could be possible that not one flight departs in several weeks. Therefore, this is more an "air-taxi" service for business men that do not want to rely on the DB.

Destinations

[edit]

Nouvelair to Monastir was reverted due to lack of a specific start date (I could not find one online). Tui also plans to fly to Djerba in the summer of 2024 but again, I can't find a start date. Can someone please add those to the destinations list if you can find a source for a start date? 213.95.33.60 (talk) 10:44, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why has this been added as the "title" of some of the sources for this article? 213.95.33.60 (talk) 23:15, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
