Amerivision Song Contest

The Amerivision Song Contest 1990 was the thirty-fifth edition of the annual Amerivision Song Contest, organised by the American Broadcasting Union (ABU), host broadcaster El Canal de las Estrellas. The edition was hosted in the Gimnasio Josué Neri Santos, in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, as the country earned the right to host the contest by winning the previous edition.

This edition saw the first ever withdrawal of Uruguay, who was participating continuously since 1957, Antigua and Barbuda also withdrew from the contest this year. In compensation, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela all returned to the contest.

The winner of this edition was Haiti, with the song "Pa gad sou lot" by Sakaj, this was Haiti's second ever participation in the contest, making the country one of the fastest to achieve their first win, this was also the first song sung in Haitian Creole to win the contest.
